HerVoiceTruly: Peace Woman
Celebrating women’s voices and inspiring the future
HerVoiceTruly: Peace Woman is a storytelling and advocacy initiative by HAPEI that amplifies the voices, stories, experiences, and contributions of African women shaping peace and security, governance, humanitarian action, gender equality, and social change.
The initiative was created to challenge the narratives that overlook or undervalue women’s contributions to peace and development. Through storytelling and digital advocacy, HerVoiceTruly brings visibility to women whose leadership, courage, and everyday actions are helping to build safer, more inclusive, and more peaceful communities.
By sharing their journeys, achievements, challenges, and lessons, the initiative creates opportunities for women to be seen, heard, celebrated, and recognized while inspiring a new generation of young women to participate meaningfully in peacebuilding and leadership.

From Stories to Social Change
We believe that every woman’s voice carries a story, and every story has the power to inspire change.
HerVoiceTruly: Peace Woman is more than a celebration of women. It is a call to recognize women’s leadership, create space for their voices, and ensure that women are not only represented in conversations about peace and development, but are actively shaping them.
